Sayote farmers in Benguet, have invented a way to make it easier to transport products

 

SAYOTE FARMERS IN BENGUET, INVENTED A WAY TO MAKE IT EASIER TO TRAVEL PRODUCTS TO THE MOUNTAINS This video of sayote farmers in Sagpat, Kibungan, Benguet is viral online where you can see their effort and perseverance to travel their product sayote. Using a machine made of a motorcycle and a pulley, sacks of sayote are transported from one mountain to another. Sayote farmers sell their products at the trading post in La Trinidad. Through Rural Rising Philippines, an organization that supports farmers, the products are brought to Manila for sale. "It's amazing how efficiently they flew sacks of produce across a mighty mountain. We can only imagine that if inspiration failed to come, these farmers would have to huff and hump the sayote on their backs."
